Los Altos Library offers children's activities

The Los Altos Library is offering a variety of activities this summer. All children 5 or older are welcome to watch folk singer Jim Stevens who is scheduled to perform at 3 p.m. today at the Los Altos Library Program Room.

Hidden Villa closed for camp

Hidden Villa, a 1,600-acre farm and wilderness preserve in Los Altos Hills, is closed to the public while its summer camp program is in session, from June 23 through Aug. 22. The farm will be open on select weekends during the summer.

The preserve will be open to the public the weekends of July 5-6, 19-20, 26-27, and Aug. 9-10.

Arts & Wine volunteers needed

Volunteers are needed to help with the 16th annual Los Altos Arts & Wine Festival July 12 and 13. The festival is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Main and State streets in downtown Los Altos.

Volunteers will help staff the wine, beer, soda, glass and souvenir booths, working in three-hour shifts in groups of four at each location.Volunteers working the three-hour shift will receive the festivals commemorative beer mug or wine glass, and a beverage of their choice.

Olde Towne Band summer concerts

Ye Olde Towne Band has scheduled a series of Sunday outdoor concerts at Shoup Park, on University Avenue in Los Altos. The concerts, which feature music ranging from marches to popular musicals, are set for 1:30-3:30 p.m. July 27, Aug. 31 and Sept. 28. Admission is free.

The band is sponsored by the Sertoma, Quota, Kiwanis and Rotary clubs of Los Altos.

Women's business association meets

The American Business Women's Association meets the fourth Wednesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. at Mac's Tea Room, 325 Main St., Los Altos. The group is dedicated to the professional development of women. To join or for more information, call 324-2808 or 964-8000 ext. 3013.

Moffett Field info hotline

The City of Mountain View has established a 24-hour telephone hotline for information about Moffett Field. The hotline has been created to provide residents with information and periodic updates about Moffett. Residents will be able to hear information as well as leave messages expressing their opinions and concerns. The telephone number for the hotline is 903-6616.
