Los Altos cranked out 12 hits during the game and built a 5-0 lead after two innings to get things rolling. Leading hitters were John Lerch with three and Vasser, Brian Simoni and Brad Libuit with two apiece. The locals were to next play Santa Clara Westside yesterday, with the result coming in after the Town Crier's deadline. 9-10-YEAR-OLDS: Los Altos Hills continued to roll through the All-Star Tournament with a 5-1 victory over Moreland on June 30. The win set up a third-round matchup with Mountain View last Monday, after the paper's deadline. The game was marked by outstanding pitching from Chris Chown and Richard Gorman, who combined for the win. JUNIORS: In a June 30 first-round Tournament of Champions matchup, Cupertino American defeated Los Altos American 8-6 at Hyde Junior High School.
