Sunnyvale's Spectrian Corp. has colossal 1st quarter report

The Town Crier stock for the week is Spectrian because it is up 487 percent since the first of the year. One hundred shares purchased Jan. 1 would have cost $775. Today the value is $4,550, a $3,775 profit.

Spectrian Corp., located in Sunnyvale, supplies amplifiers to wireless communication infrastructure manufacturers and service providers. First quarter revenue report shows an increase of 361 percent. Gross revenues went from $9.9 million to $45.8 million.

Net income includes a gain of $1.3 million that relates to the sale of its subsidiary, American Microwave Technology.
