The trip consisted of three days in Moscow, nine days cruising to St. Petersburg, where you also spend three days. This was intended to be an article on Russian wines. There is not much to say other than they are lousy and they don't get any better after two weeks. The alcohol content is always under 10 percent, indicating that the grapes never really get ripe enough to make a decent wine. The whites had some strange flavors and smells, acetone is what comes to mind. The reds were bitter with off flavors that made some of them almost impossible to drink, but a lot of people did!
