Deadline for county schools posts Persons interested in serving on the Santa Clara County Committee on School Organization need to submit an application, including a letter of intent and brief resume, to the County Office of Education by 5 p.m., Oct. 17. An election will be held Nov. 21 to fill three seats on the Committee from Supervisorial Districts 1, 3, and 5. All candidates must be registered voters and reside within the county supervisorial district that they wish to represent. No employee of a public school district or the County Office of Education may serve. Members of the governing board of a school district may serve.
