Town Crier Staff Report

Need questions answered about your holiday postal mailings? Don't call local any more.

As of Nov. 17, post offices in Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Mountain View and Sunnyvale will come on-line with the U.S. Postal Service's 800 customer service number, 1-800-ASK-USPS (or 1-800-275-8777).

Most of the nation is already on-line with the 800 number, said Jewel Hamilton, station manager at the Miramonte postal station in Loyola Corners.

The western region began coming on-line around Nov. 20, she said.

If you call the local customer service number after next week you'll get a recording with the new number, Hamilton said.
