"Staff decided to bypass the initial Architectural and Site review for this project," said David Kornfield in the staff report. These will be market-rate units in a two-story townhouse-style building. The project was approved unanimously at the Nov. 20 planning commission meeting. One commissioner said that the project "appears as a single-family residence from the front." The architect is Larry Madson, of Los Altos. Owners are Los Altos residents Robert and Ruth Lundquist. City earns high marks during financial audit The city passed its audit for the fiscal year of 1996-1997 with flying colors, according to the council finance committee of Mayor Kris Casto and Mayor pro tem Lou Becker. The auditors, Caporicci & Larson, said that "staff had done a commendable job, and they had no recommendations for improvement to the city's record keeping or internal control," Casto and Becker said in their Dec. 5 report to the city council. |
