The Los Altos City Council will be considering an application for a 70-seat Indian restaurant at its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m Tuesday in City Hall, 1 N. San Antonio Road.

Satkar Indian Restaurant hopes to locate at 233-235 State St., former Daily Grind and Tri-City Lock Company sites.

The restaurant would offer an Indian food menu for sit-down dining, take-out and catering.

Plans include 40 indoor seats plus 30 outdoor seats for the existing patio adjacent to the North Parking Plaza.

The restaurant would be open for lunch and dinner seven days per week.

Also on the council agenda is an application from Windtest Instruments Computer School. The school would serve up to 20 students per class at 4962 El Camino Real, Suite 235, in the Los Altos Office Center.

The school would offer computer training classes during the evenings Monday through Saturday.

The school would have a reception room, two classrooms, a waiting room, conference room and two small offices.

The school was previously located in Suite 121 on the first floor of the Los Altos Office Center.
