'Heart of the Community' Valentine dinner dance Feb. 14

The second annual "Heart of the Community Valentine Gala" will be held Feb. 14 at the Fremont Hills Country Club in Los Altos Hills.

The fundraising event is sponsored by the Los Altos Community Foundation, which supports community leadership training, neighborhood mediation, and the Bus Barn Community Theater.

This year's event is a dinner dance that begins at 7 p.m. with cocktails to the background of chamber music performed by the Amadeus Players.

Dinner will be served at 8 p.m. and tables for eight-to-10 can be reserved in advance.

Dinner includes a selection of hors d'oeuvres, mixed greens and goat cheese salad, tenderloin of lamb, wild rice and vegetables, and a surprise dessert. Dancing will follow dinner. Black tie is optional.

The Heart of the Community Valentine Gala is an opportunity to spend an elegant evening with someone special, and for neighbors from Los Altos and Los Altos Hills to celebrate Valentine's Day together.
