There will be a new look to the Whitecliff Building in Loyola Corners this summer thanks to new owners B & B Associates. B & B, a full-service financial planning firm, will also be the main tenant of the building, located at 935 Fremont Ave.

The financial planning firm purchased the building in December from Loyola Investors for $457,500, according to Therese Baer, manager of investment operations.

B & B originally planned to remodel the approximately 45-year old building, but discovered it would be quicker and less expensive to rebuild, retaining only the exterior walls, Baer said.

She said B & B would take over the top floor, moving from their present Los Altos location at 5150 El Camino Real. The first floor will be build-to-suit office space. B & B received city approval for a 30-year use permit for office space in the building, Baer said.

B & B will use an entrance at the rear of the building off the central parking plaza as their main office entrance, she said. That will mean enhancements to the parking plaza's appearance.

"We're pretty excited," Baer said. "We really wanted to stay in Los Altos."

"We're happy to have B & B at Loyola Corners," said Kathy Aspland, Loyola Corners Business Improvement District administrator.

B & B Associates works in many areas of financial planning, tax planning, investment analysis, long-term financial management and initial stock option planning.
