MVPA sponsoring educational forum

The Mountain View High School Parent Association is sponsoring an educational panel discussion entitled "Helping Your Teen Achieve Personal Success" 7:30 tonight in the library at Mountain View High School, 3535 Truman Ave.

The panel will discuss and answer questions regarding student involvement in a broad spectrum of campus activities including academics, music, clubs and sports.

Technology fair at Bullis

Bullis-Purissima School will hold a Technology Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., March 21, in its computer lab, 2589 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills.

Zane Publishing's Educational CD-ROMS will be featured. CD packages range from algebra to zoology and contain complete interactive lessons.

Silent auction at Loyola School

Loyola School will host its first annual silent auction, called "An Evening in Venice," this Saturday, at Fremont Hills Country Club. Money raised will be used to replace outdated playground equipment.

MV-LA adult education offering photography hikes

The Mountain View-Los Altos Adult Education is offering a hiking class for students with cameras, called "Where the Wild Things Are."

Amateur photographer Pat Noyes will lead the 10-week class. The class will meet at 8:30 a.m. starting March 25 at Hillview Community Center, Room 18. Tuition is $50 for adults under 55 and $8 for seniors.

Alta Vista receives grant for career program

The Mountain View Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation awarded Alta Vista High School's Career Exploration Through Art and Technology project a $6,000 grant to establish a Web site profiling local professionals.

A collaboration between Alta Vista, the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce and a consultant, the project was established to bring schools and businesses together.

Chamber business members will volunteer as career mentors for students who are looking into specific career paths.

Summer camp for kids at Redwood Grove

The City of Los Altos Recreation Department is accepting applications for its 1998 Summer Day Camp Programs at Redwood Grove Nature Preserve.

Program and registration information are included in the spring 1998 schedule of classes, which was mailed March 2, 1998. Application deadline is 5 p.m., this Monday.

To register, mail registration to 97 Hillview Ave., Los Altos, 94022; send a registration by fax to 941-4166; or deliver registration, in a sealed envelope, to the Recreation Department at 97 Hillview Ave.
