Jack Rosenhan, former junior varsity boys soccer coach at Los Altos High, has been named women's soccer coach at Menlo College.
Rosenhan becomes the second women's soccer coach at Menlo since the program started in 1996.
"I am looking forward to the great opportunity of coming to Menlo College and trying to build this program into a powerhouse," Rosenhan said. "With roughly 11 players returning, recruiting will be my No. 1 priority to take the Lady Oaks to the next level in NAIA soccer."
"Soccer will be one of five team sports entering the NAIA's California Pacific Conference in 1998-99," said Caitlin Collier, associate athletic director at Menlo. "Conference affiliation will definitely help us in recruiting, and it was crucial for us to hire a qualified, committed coach for women's soccer. I think Jack will do a great job in making this transition."
Rosenhan, a native of Palo Alto, started his high school coaching career at Los Altos in 1992.
After two years with the Eagles, Rosenhan took over as varsity girls coach at Palo Alto High, a job he held for three years.
In 1996, Rosenhan began coaching with the Olympic Development Program for girls under 14.
A 1988 graduate of Whittier College, Rosenhan played four years of NCAA Division III soccer.
