Camille Cellucci, the visual effects producer for the Oscar-winning "Titanic," will offer a show-and-tell presentation on her work 7-10 p.m., April 30, at Cubberley Theater, 4000 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto.

Cellucci will be appearing at a meeting of Independent Media Artists Group (IMAGE), a nonprofit organization for Bay Area filmmakers. The meeting includes time to network before the presentation, with a reception following.

Cellucci, like others associated with "Titanic," has become a highly sought-after artist in the wake of film that has become the biggest box-office hit of all time and the winner of 11 Academy Awards.

Prior to her work on "Titanic" and under the direction of Industrial Light & Magic, Cellucci worked on the visual effects for such box office hits as "Who Framed Roger Rabbit," "Willow," "The Abyss" and "Always."

IMAGE, based in Palo Alto, exists as a forum for the Bay Area filmmakers, videographers, and animators. The organization provides opportunity for members to learn from successful professionals in the industry on a wide variety of topics including how to make and market independent films. Networking possibilities are also provided to collaborate on film and video projects.

The mission of this four-year-old organization is to develop a collaborative industry for independent media artists. Monthly meetings may include presentations, panel discussions, and periodic screening by fellow IMAGE members or other local filmmakers. Currently, there are 15 members from Los Altos and Los Altos Hills.

Tickets for this general-seating meeting are $10 for non-IMAGE members, and are free for members.
