Bridget McMurray, coordinator of the event, said "The day went amazingly well. It was neat to see how the volunteers pulled together to provide this service to the community. We do this event for the community but we also do it for ourselves; it is the one event per year that we go home feeling good about." Erna and Frank Fichter were among the 50 people trained from Los Altos and Los Altos Hills. Participants included couples, friends, families, co-workers, and individuals who had the same goal of being prepared by taking Red Cross Adult CPR. Of these participants, approximately half had never taken CPR training before. Twenty percent of those trained took CPR more than three years ago. |
