'Millennium Eve' celebration backers meet

Members of the newly organized Los Altos Millennium Eve Committee are meeting today to discuss the idea of a community-wide party in Los Altos on Dec. 31, 1999.

Organizers sent a March 20 letter to a variety of Los Altos and Los Altos Hills groups, seeking their participation.

The meeting, set for 5 p.m. at the Town Crier, is meant as a brainstorm for possible activities, organizers said.
