By 11:50 a.m. residents had reported 12 incidents that happened during Saturday night including: two vehicles stolen; a vehicle stolen in another jurisdiction and recovered; and nine vehicles broken into. The streets involved include Valencia Drive, Arbuelo, San Felicia, Los Ninos and Panchita ways. Vehicles were reported stolen from the 400 block of Valencia Drive and the 100 block of Arbuelo Way. A car that had been stolen in another jurisdiction was recovered in the 600 block of Los Ninos Way. Car break-ins were reported in the 400 and 500 blocks of Valencia Way; two in the 100 block of Arbuelo Way; one in the 400 and one in the 500 blocks of Panchita Way; two break-ins in the 600 block of Los Ninos Way; and one in the small court of San Felicia Way that is off of Arbuelo Way. Police suspect that the car thefts and break-ins are all related, said a spokesman with the Los Altos Police Department. Officers also speculate that the suspects involved may have stolen a car elsewhere, driven it here, and left it behind when they found others to steal. In some cases, the vehicles were unlocked. In one vehicle the keys were inside. |
