One of the highlights of the fair is watching the baby lambs and other farm animals. The festivities will also include hands-on activities for the children, sheep shearing, wool spinning, blacksmithing, wheat weaving, and an old-fashioned Maypole dance. The event features multicultural food, music and entertainment throughout the day, in addition to arts and crafts. Also available to those attending the fair are nature hikes and tours of the historic Duveneck House. New this year will be a display of model of sustainable buildings constructed by architecture students from California Polytechnic State University. Also new will be a quilt exhibit, demonstration and raffle. Admission is $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 3-12 (free for those under 3), or $15 for families. Proceeds from the benefit will help support Hidden Villa's environmental education, summer camp and multicultural programs. Bring your own reusable cup, plate and utensils, and receive a free drink ticket. A free shuttle bus will transport fair-goers from Foothill College to Hidden Villa throughout the day.
