Cellucci will be appearing at a meeting of Independent Media Artists Group (IMAGE), a nonprofit organization for Bay Area filmmakers. The meeting includes time to network before the presentation, with a reception following. Tickets for this general-seating meeting are $10 for non-IMAGE members, and are free for members. Federated Women's Club meets The Federated Women's Club of Los Altos will meet this coming Tuesday, May 6, at the Elks Club of Palo Alto, 4249 El Camino Real. The meeting begins at 11 a.m., with lunch following. The meeting will include announcements of newly elected officers and a guest speaker, Sgt. Richard T. 'Friends' of library hold book sale The Friends of the Los Altos Library will hold a spring used book sale this weekend at Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave., Los Altos. The Friday sale is open 7-9 p.m. for members only. The sale is open to the public 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, and from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday. On Sunday, books are sold by the bag for $2 each. Proceeds from the sale go to the library. Plant exchange at Hillview lot The Garden Club of Los Altos, in conjunction with the Los Altos Recreation Department, is holding its 17th annual plant exchange day 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, in the Hillview Community Center parking lot, 97 Hillview Ave., Los Altos. Bring extra plants, seedlings, cuttings, bulbs and small shrubs and trees, and take home something new in exchange. Introducing the new Getty Museum Artistic and architectural highlights are the subject of a lecture on the new J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. Denise Erickson, professor of art at the collection in San Mateo, will use slides to lead a virtual tour of this controversial building and collection at 7:30 tonight at the Los Altos Main Library, 13 S. San Antonio Road. The lecture is sponsored by the City of Los Altos, the Los Altos Arts Committee, and Friends of the Los Altos Library. For those who want to see the new museum for themselves, Erickson will also talk about the tour she is leading through the Getty Museum the first week in June. Space is still available. In addition to teaching at the College of San Mateo, Erickson has been a guest lecturer at the Los Altos Morning Forum, and teaches short courses at Foothill and De Anza colleges. Mountain View community yard sale The City of Mountain View is bringing back its popular community yard sale for the third consecutive year on May 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rengstorff Park, 201 S. Rengstorff Ave. The event will feature live entertainment, food for sale as well as an extensive garage sale. Parking and entrance are free; however, a fee is required to rent a sale space.
