Los Altos Senior Center

The Los Altos Senior Center is located at the Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave., in Los Altos. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call 948-7483.

The Mountain View Senior Center is located at 266 Escuela Ave., Mountain View. For more information, call 903-6330. Following is a list of special events for the month.

Notes: All "green" activity cards will expire on June 30, 1998. Some changes have been made in the policy for activity cards. Beginning May 1, an activity card will be valid for one year from the date of purchase. The price is still $12 for Los Altos residents and $17 for non-residents. Seniors will need an activity card to go on any trip sponsored by the Senior Center, to attend the monthly luncheon for $3 and to partake of the computer tutors, hearing checks, glaucoma screening and blood pressure checks.

Senior Center board meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m., June 10. All are welcome to attend the meeting.

June Luncheon will be held June 26. The lunch will be catered by El Camino Hospital and will feature stuffed chicken breasts with fresh zucchini, cole slaw and angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream for dessert. Enjoy a nostalgic trip along "Route 66" with songs and music by Jack and Gloria. Activity card holders pay $3, non-card holders pay $6. Reservations are required for lunch.

Friday Movie on June 19 will be "Fathers Day," starring Billy Crystal and Robin Williams in honor of fathers.
