Town Crier Staff Report

The Beanie Babies craze will also impact the huge Los Altos Art & Wine Festival July 11 and 12, when hundreds of assorted Beanies become available in a "Wheel of Fortune" game and a raffle for four of the highly sought collectibles at the KIDZONE in the State Street parking plaza.

The festival's producer, the Los Altos Village Association, will raffle off four highly desirable Beanies donated by two downtown merchants, Los Altos Card and Party and Linden Tree Children's Records and Books. For a $1 raffle ticket, a person can acquire either Princess the Bear, Erin the Bear, Valentino the Bear, or Peace.

Hundreds of additional Beanies will be up for grabs in a "Wheel of Fortune" game with participants betting 50 cents per Beanie-chance hoping their number will come up.
