The festival, a benefit for Music For Minors, will feature children's performers Linda Arnold, Lisa Atkinson, Tim Cain, along with clowns and children's choirs. The theme, "Circus of the World," accents the circus and carnival-like atmosphere of the festival. Food and drink also will be sold. The event, co-sponsored by the Los Altos School District and the Los Altos Town Crier, is $5 per person, with children age 2 and under free. Russian-American Fair at Albert Schultz The Albert L. Schultz Jewish Community Center will be transformed into a Russian village for their sixth annual Russian-American Fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The cultural extravaganza, full of non-stop entertainment, culture and fun, will be held at the community center, 655 Arastradero Road, Palo Alto. The fair will include national and international performers, carnival games for children, street vendors and strolling musicians. In conjunction with the fair, The Koret Art Gallery will open an exhibit including documents from University of California, Berkeley's Emma Goldman Papers Project as well as work from two internationally-recognized artists. General admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and children. Children under 6 are free. Proceeds from the fair support English language study and provide scholarships for children. California Country antique show, sale The annual California country Antique Americana Show & Sale, featuring 50 dealers from around the state, will take place 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Sunday at the Los Altos History House Museum, 51 S. San Antonio Road, Los Altos. Called "the best pure Americana show in the state" by Country Home contributor Sydney Muncy, the show features "pure country" antique furniture and other items. AAUW June social set for this Sunday The annual social for American Association of University Women new membership is set for 4 p.m. this Saturday at the Los Altos Hills home of Lynn and Martha Hunton. Euraupair program seeks host families Local families with children ages 3 months to 12 years interested in hosting an au pair exchange participant from Europe, Japan, South Africa or French-speaking Canada are being sought by the non-profit Euraupair Inter cultural Child Care Program. EurAupair au pairs are young adults between the ages of 18 and 26, who have chosen to take a year off between school terms to live with an American family and help care for the family's children in exchange for the opportunity to learn more about American culture. Wildlife Rescue classes for volunteers Students 16 or older interested in caring for injured wildlife can enroll in Wildlife Rescue's year-round training classes. Mid-March through early October is the busiest time of the year for Wildlife Rescue. This is nesting season and many baby birds and squirrels fall from nests due to people pruning their trees. Wildlife Rescue cared for 2,410 injured and orphaned wild animals, including many from the Los Altos area last year. Approximately 58 percent of the animals treated were returned into the wild. Cardiac support group at El Camino The "Heart-to-Heart" cardiac support group is offered free of charge to the community at El Camino Hospital Park Pavilion meeting room K the first and third Wednesday of each month from 4:30-6 p.m. The group is on-going and open to anyone with heart disease.
