Goldie and Chloe have been together all of Goldie's life and more than half of Chloe's. Now the two long-time companions need a home that can accommodate them both, said Suzanne Newton with Coldwell Banker's Los Altos office.

Goldie is a 5-year-old, neutered male golden retriever-labrador mix and Chloe is a 9-year-old, spayed female Labrador retriever.

Newton is the selling agent for the pair's ex-parents, who are giving up the two due to divorce.

While they await adoption, Goldie and Chloe are staying with Helen Relus of Golden Retrievers in Cyberspace, a local 501(c)(3) organization that lists adoptable golden retrievers on its Web site. The organization also sells "Golden Goods" to support Golden Retriever Rescue, a national organization with local chapters that find homes for golden retrievers in need.

Group members also provide foster homes for stray or rescued retrievers and those, like Goldy and Chloe, who can no longer stay in their homes.

According to Relus, Goldie and Chloe have been raised with children. Both have current vaccinations and are in good health.
