Germar the magician will perform from 3-3:45 p.m. this afternoon in the Los Altos Library program room for children age 5 and up. The summer reading programs will be held on Wednesday afternoons through Aug. 5. For more information, call the Children's Reference Desk at the Los Altos Library, 948-2751.

The Los Altos Library now subscribes to the Business Consumer Guide. The magazine gives current, detailed information on equipment, services and supplies that a business might need, such as fax machines, paper shredders, phone headsets, laser printers, voice mail systems, overnight delivery services and payroll services.

The guide is housed on the consumer index table.
