The Los Altos Senior Center is located in the Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave., in Los Altos. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Los Altos Senior Center

July 8, 1 p.m.: Dentist Dr. Alfred Ding will discuss dental implants. Reservations for the talk are necessary.

July 10, 1 p.m.: Movie: "Yankee Doodle Dandy," starring James Cagney.

July 26, 10:30 a.m.: July picnic in Shoup Park. Barbecued hamburgers, potato salad and cherry pie for dessert. Activity card holders $4, non-card holders, $6.

July 31, 1 p.m.: July birthday party with cake, ice cream, songs and bingo. Celebrate those with a birthday in July.

Mountain View Senior Center

Sunday, 2 p.m.: Video Sunday, featuring "Eve's Bayou" at the Mountain View Senior Center. Admission is 50 cents.

July 12, 2 p.m.: Harry Berland will show a slide show on his Gulf Coast trip. Admission is 50 cents and includes light refreshments.

July 14, 11:15 a.m.: Welcome newcomers to the Center. Orientation and tour of the facilities. An overview of classes and upcoming special events.

July 15, Noon: Annual Senior Center summer picnic. "Kidz on Tour" will perform. Tickets will be sold each day until 3:30 p.m. for $3.
