The Fire beat the host Frankfurt Galaxy 34-10 in front of nearly 50,000 fans. Croel started at defensive end for the Fire and recorded six sacks this season to finish fifth in the league. He will attempt to make the NFL's Chicago Bears this summer.TEEING OFF: The seventh annual Ecumenical Hunger Golf Tournament is set for noon, July 13 at the Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club in Palo Alto. The $200 entry fee includes lunch and dinner at Hyatt Rickeys. Proceeds benefit the Ecumenical Hunger Project. Registration begins at 11 a.m. For more information, call 856-3200.
