'The Truman Show' in Los Altos

The Sunbird Gallery of Los Altos presents a show of bronze sculptures by Los Altos artist R. J. Truman. The show opened last Saturday and continues through July 31. Truman is the sculptor whose statue, "The Cradle of Liberty," was dedicated in Shoup Park on July 4.

The sculptures at Sunbird, bronze figures about 22 inches tall, "are the pieces that helped me be selected as a finalist," for the Shoup Park Veterans Memorial, Truman said.

Prices of the figures range from $950 to $3,950, Truman said. Also available at the gallery are three different sizes of "The Cradle of Liberty," at 13-, 22- and 48-inches.

Sunbird Gallery is located at 333 First St. in Los Altos. Summer hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 941-1561.
