View reviews 10-story apt. towersThe city of Mountain View will be reviewing plans for two 10-story apartment buildings this summer at several zoning administration meetings. The plans call for 237 units on the 4.4-acre parcel at 2400 El Camino Real West, between Ortega Avenue and Showers Drive. The city adopted a plan for this area in 1982. In 1986 the city approved a final subdivision map for development of the area. An office building and garage were built but not the apartments. The permit for that element of the project has lapsed, said city staff. The city will now be looking at an initial study for the Skyview Apartments Project. The city of Los Altos has sent a letter regarding the impact from traffic, Los Altos Mayor Kris Casto said. "This is already in their (Mountain View's) general plan," Casto said. For more information and dates of meetings, call Mountain View senior planner, Brad Eckhardt, 903-6306.
