Property damage Aug. 9, 6:24 p.m., Springer Road and Cuesta Drive: A caller reported hearing a hit-and-run accident. A Los Altos city sign was knocked down and was blocking traffic. Shoplifting Aug. 9, 9:16 p.m., Third Street: A caller reported that a security guard chased shoplifters from Safeway. Safeway officials had no shoplifting reports. Theft Aug. 7, 8:12 p.m., 1000 block of Golden Way: Someone took a cellular phone from an unlocked car in the parking lot. A report was taken. Dog bite Aug. 7, 8:53 p.m., Valencia Drive and Almond Avenue: A caller reported that her neighbor was bitten by a dog. She was enroute to the hospital with her neighbor. Disturbance Aug. 7, 2:25 a.m., 4000 block of El Camino Real: A caller reported that a woman dressed in a plaid shirt and jeans was yelling and moving her arms around in a threatening manner. Prowling Aug. 6, 7:55 p.m., 1000 block of Parkhills Avenue: A caller reported that a white car pulled into the driveway. The caller said the person got out of the car and peered into one of the vehicles parked in the driveway. Burglary Aug. 5, 4:54 p.m., 400 block of Tyndall Street: A caller reported that her residence was burglarized the day before. Lost and found Aug. 5, 2:22 p.m., 4000 block of El Camino Real: A caller reported that a customer left a box of tools after discovering he had no money to pay for gas. He said he would return. The tools appeared to be stolen. Drugs Aug. 4, 10:13 p.m., 4000 block of El Camino Real: A woman with a young child appears to be living out of her vehicle, according to police. The woman was arrested. Injury Aug. 3, 11:36 a.m., 200 block of Alicia Way: A caller reported that she spilled boiling water on her face. |
