This year's third and final Los Altos Art & Antiques Walk, hosted by the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce and the Los Altos Village Association, takes place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. tomorrow.

We have many art activities throughout each year but these tours have become special because they have brought people together. They provide an incentive to mingle, to browse, an opportunity to meet a shop owner, an artist, or offer an excuse to rediscover Los Altos.

The 10 participating shops and galleries, highlighted with yellow balloons at their entrances, all have special exhibitions, related activities, and/or artist demonstrations. The high quality of these free events reflects community pride and enthusiasm of the association , the chamber and each participating gallery and shop owner.

Gallery Michael, 164 Main St., features an exhibition of limited edition canvas lithographs by Missouri artist Bob Byerley. Byerley's detailed and fanciful paintings of children at play are reminiscent of Norman Rockwell's realism and grand illustrative style.

William Marcus, 378 Main St., hosts a papermaking demonstration by Suhog.

Casa Mia, 111 AB Main St., features fine Italian and European furniture.

Gallery 9, 143 Main St., features two artists. Weaver Anneliese Ammann will bring her loom and demonstrate her weaving technique. Andy Browne, known more for his black and white photographs, will demonstrate a lamp-making technique.

Viewpoints Gallery, 315 State St., hosts two artist demonstrations. Well-known South Bay artist Carolyn Hofstetter will demonstrate her oil painting techniques and Lillian Balliet will demonstrate her popular creations from broken pottery.

Fastframe, 317 State St., highlights award-winning local artist Bob Perkins' recent work. Mr. Perkins will also demonstrate his painting techniques.

One of a Kind Antiques, 390 State St., hosts a drawing for a collectable antique.

Casa de Belle Cose, 145 First St., presents a talk on the art of landscaping, at 6:00 p.m., by landscape architect Bobby Markowitz.

Sunbird Gallery, 333 First St., presents a demonstration and a small exhibition of crisp, still life paintings by local artist Philip Hack.

ZYT Galerie, 923 N. San Antonio Road, features an oil painting demonstration and an exhibition by seascape artist Alex Dzigurski II.
