The Friends of the Los Altos Library will hold a used-book sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 12 and from noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 13 at Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave., Los Altos.

From 7-9 p.m. Sept. 11 there will be a presale for members only. No memberships will be sold at the door.

On Sunday books will be sold by the bag, at $2 per bag.

The sale will feature current fiction, a popular category at past sales. The event will also include a variety of fiction and nonfiction for adults and children plus records and videos.

Proceeds will benefit the Los Altos and Woodland libraries. For more information, call the library at 948-7048.
