Sept. 4, 7:17 p.m., 1300 block of Ranchita Drive: A caller reported that his son was followed home from the Nob Hill store on Grant Road by four people who then created a disturbance at the house.

DUI

Sept. 4, 10:03 p.m., Palo Alto DUI checkpoint, Avoid the 13: Los Altos police arrested a driver for DUI.

Domestic violence

Sept. 5, 7:20 p.m.: A caller requested help from police. He said his wife was threatening to take their daughter away.

Juvenile party

Sept. 5, 10:05 p.m., 600 block of Milverton Road: Police responded to a possible juvenile party with underage youths drinking.

DUI

Sept. 6, 2:08 a.m., Foothill Expressway and El Monte Avenue: Police arrested a 33-year-old on DUI charges.

Sept. 6, 2:35 a.m., San Antonio Road and Hawthorne Avenue: Police arrested a 24-year-old man on DUI charges.

Theft

Sept. 6, 11:23 a.m., 300 block of Cherry Avenue: A resident reported a statue of a goose was taken from her front porch.

Sept. 8, 10:02 a.m., 4400 block of El Camino Real: Police arrested a 31-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman on charges of drugs, addict marks and paraphernalia.

Phone offense

Sept. 10, 10:03 a.m., 1000 block of Los Altos Avenue: A person reported receiving a threatening phone call on their answering machine and saved it. The subject is unknown.

Purse snatch thwarted

Sept. 10, 4:30 p.m., 1000 block of San Antonio Road: Three men tried to grab a purse.
