he St. Francis High boys got their cross country season off on the right foot last Thursday at Gunn High in Palo Alto.

While Gunn's Tom Allen placed first at the Inaugural Cross Country Meet, the next seven finishers were from St. Francis.

Leading the pack for the Lancers were Eric Chaves, Dan Chaves and Charles Darius.

Gunn tennis beats PA

The Gunn girls tennis team opened its season with a convincing 6-1 win over rival Palo Alto last Thursday.

Host Paly's only victory came at No. 1 singles. All six Titan wins came in straight sets, including Christine Feng's 6-0, 6-2 win over Magda Hayes at No. 2 singles.
