The "drive the speed limit" campaign is now one month old. Are you remembering to slow down on city streets? Some persuasion is on its way. The Los Altos City Council just approved the hiring of two new motorcycle officers to monitor traffic starting in January. Now is the time to practice driving slower, safer and more courteously. Keep in mind that neighborhood streets are extensions of our yards and homes, not extensions of expressways and freeways. This friendly reminder is brought to you by the Year of the Good Neighbor Committee. Encourage your neighbors to drive the limit by setting a good example yourself.
