League of Women Voters holds forums for schools, county offices

The local Leagues of Women Voters are hosting a series of public discussions and informational sessions in anticipation of the Nov. 3 election.

A school board candidates forum will be held 7-9 p.m. this coming Tuesday at Graham Middle School, multiuse room, 1175 Castro St., Mountain View. Featured will be candidates for the Mountain View, Foothill-De Anza Community College and Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School district boards.

A local and county candidates forum is slated for 7:15-9:45 p.m., Oct. 15, at the Mountain View City Council chambers, 500 Castro St. Featured will be races for sheriff of Santa Clara County, candidates for judge of the Superior Court, Santa Clara County, Office 3 and seven candidates vying for three seats on the Mountain View City Council.
