The Albert L. Schultz Jewish Community Center in Palo Alto is hosting a mini-triathlon Oct. 18. The race will include a 400-meter pool swim, an 11-mile bike ride and a five-kilometer run. Volunteers needed
The Santa Clara County Special Olympics is seeking volunteer coaches for long distance running, soccer, power lifting and ice skating. Race registration
The fifth annual Trailblazer Race, a 5K/10K run along the Stevens Creek Trail, is set for 8:30 a.m. Sunday at Charleston Park in Mountain View. There will also be a three-mile nature walk for those who don't run. Race-day registration starts at 7 a.m. and costs $24 for adults and $13 for those age 12 and under.
