Match-up: Mountain View vs. Los Altos in prep football.

When & Where: 7:30 p.m. Friday at Foothill College, 12345 El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills.

The Situation: After a long string of woeful seasons, Los Altos (4-1) is starting to make this rivalry interesting again. The Eagles broke a seven-game losing streak to the Spartans last year with a 14-7 road win. Mountain View (1-4) surely hasn't forgotten this and would love to spoil Los Altos' homecoming game.

What to Watch For: Both teams rely heavily on the run, so this game will likely be decided in the trenches. The Eagles' line features senior standout Pete Bjorklund, while the Spartans have more beef (averaging 245 pounds per player) than any team Dan Navarro has ever coached. Halfback Eddie Richardson is Mountain View's leading rusher, while fullback Chris Mazurkiewicz is pacing Los Altos.
