Vocke ran the race in 1 hour, 48 minutes and 33 seconds. Final 'Fore' Fore Women Golfers will hold their final tournament of the year at 11 a.m. Oct. 31 at Sunken Garden Golf Course in Sunnyvale. Registration is $43 per player and includes green fees and a barbecue afterward. Format is a two-player scramble and all skill levels are welcome. Men may participate, but they must be paired with a woman. There will also be a best golf costume contest to celebrate Halloween. Registration deadline is Saturday. Pumpkins for sports The Los Altos High School Athletic Boosters are selling pumpkins in the school's parking lot, 201 Almond Ave. Proceeds will be used to help support the Los Altos High athletic program. The pumpkin patch is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Oct. 31. A place to meet heroes More than 20 sports celebrities plan to attend Halloween Heroes, a trick-or-treat party benefiting Palo Alto's Wender Weis Foundation for Children. The event will go from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at FAO Schwarz in San Francisco. Shawn Estes and Bill Mueller (Giants) Merton Hanks and R.W.
