All 10 goals were scored by freshmen, with Melina Anima tallying six and Amie Prichard and Elyssa Xavier two apiece. However, this trio got into foul trouble. Anima had to play cautiously in the second half, as she was a foul away from being ejected. Prichard and Xavier fouled out late in the match. This forced coach Tim Broderick to go to his bench. One of the reserves he turned to was Ally Christian, a first-year player with a daughter in college. She did not disappoint her coach, making two steals in the fourth to help save the game for the Owls (7-0 conference). Volleyball Town Crier Staff Report The Foothill College women's golf team continued its winning ways Oct. 13 with a conference win over American River and Sierra College at Sunnyvale Muni.
