Strong-arm robbery

Oct. 19, 4:23 p.m., Los Altos/Traverso avenues: Police reported that a man in his 30s tried to grab money from a 10-year-old. The suspect then ran toward El Camino Real.

Hazardous spill

Oct. 20, 3:19 p.m., Foothill Expressway/Magdalena Avenue: Police reported that four large containers of a boric acid mixture spilled in the road.

Car break-in

Oct. 21, 8:08 a.m., 600 block of University Avenue: Police reported that a vehicle was broken into through a smashed rear window. A video camera was taken.

Arson

Oct. 21, 5:49 p.m., 800 block of Fremont Avenue: A caller reported that bushes were on fire across from this location.

Drugs

Friday, 7:48 p.m., 900 block of Golden Way: A caller reported loud music from this location. Police made an arrest on misdemeanor marijuana charges.

DUI

Saturday, 2:24 a.m., El Camino Real/Ortega: Police arrested a 23-year-old man on charges of DUI.

Sunday, 1:53 a.m., El Camino Real/Arastradero Road: Police arrested a 39-year-old man on charges of DUI.

Vandalism

Saturday, 12:47 p.m., 400 block of University Avenue: A caller reported that a vehicle was vandalized during the night.

Syringe found

Saturday, 5:02 p.m., West Portola Avenue: A caller reported finding a syringe on the ground adjacent to his home.

Domestic violence

Saturday, 6:43 p.m.: A woman reported that her husband slapped her in the face and kicked her legs. She said her children were still with the father.

Deadly weapon

Sunday, 12:31 p.m., First/Main streets: A man reported that he was verbally threatened and that a knife was brandished at him by two men in a white Ford Bronco while he was biking near First and Main.
