In fact, with a $7,000 contribution of his own money, Finn is the biggest contributor to his campaign. The report showed total contributions of $9,825, including the $7,000 from Finn, and expenses of $9,256. Finn and incumbent council member Toni Casey, who share a similar platform, have been running joint campaign advertising. Casey's report showed total contributions of $7,798 and expenditures of $3,588. The contribution figure includes a $1,000 loan made by Casey and $500 received from Moosa Maleksalehi. Jim Steiner, chairman of the town's finance committee, has put $1,000 into his campaign. His report recorded $6,799 raised and $4,844 spent on the election campaign. It lists a $500 contribution from Anthony Helfet of Kentfield. Candidate Dot Schreiner, a member of the planning commission, also made a $1,000 loan to her campaign, bringing total contributions to $6,382. According to the report, Schreiner has $4,718 in expenses. There are no spending limits in the Los Altos Hills election campaign. Ballot counting at Mtn. View City Hall The City of Mountain View will be hosting for the first time a ballot-counting event for ballots cast in northern Santa Clara County. The count, tallied from 149 precincts, includes races in Los Altos and Los Altos Hills. The counting will begin at 8 p.m. election night, this Tuesday, at Mountain View City Hall, 500 Castro St. Up-to-date election results also will be available on the city's Web page at www.ci.mtnview.ca.us and on an election hotline at 903-6648 (election night only).
