Lancer girls win own invitational

The St. Francis High girls cross country team hosted and won their own invitational last Thursday at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills.

Palo Alto took second in the St. Francis/Foothill Invitational and Prospect was third.

The Lancers' top finisher on the day was senior Jessica Upson, who came in sixth with a time of 20 minutes and 25 seconds.

Mountain View High's Tonia Giraud finished eighth by clocking a 20:59.

The St. Francis girls will compete in the Center Meet at Crystal Springs at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow.

Mountain View will travel to Crystal Springs at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday for the SCVAL Championships.
