Spaces are available at Head Start Preschool

Head Start Preschool has openings at its centers located throughout Santa Clara County. The school provides both half-day and full-day programs free to children from low-income families. Children with special needs are welcome.

Oak to hold holiday fair

Oak School in Mountain View will be holding its annual Holiday Faire from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 21 at the school, 1501 Oak Ave. .

The event will feature more than 35 arts and crafts booths, gift ideas and baked goods. All proceeds will benefit Oak students.

The school's Scholastic Book Fair will run in conjunction with the holiday fair from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 20 and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 21.

LAHS/MVHS bands to perform at Lodi

The Los Altos and Mountain View high school marching bands will participate in a parade and field show display Saturday at Lodi High School. The parade is all day. The field show is from 6-10 p.m.

Crafters needed for Almond fair

Spaces are available for artists and crafters who want to sell their items at Almond School's annual Craft Faire, which will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 4-5. Spaces are 8 feet by 8 feet and cost $35.

St. Francis holds open house tours

St. Francis High School in Mountain View will hold open house tours every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 13 for prospective students and their families.

The tour will include an introduction to the school's academic and extracurricular programs.

Applications for the class of 2003 are available now in the admissions office or call 968-1213, ext. 430. Application deadline is Jan. 29, 1999.
