Los Altan aces hole

Los Altos resident Carol Dabb-Selven made a hole in one Oct. 25 at the Saddle Creek Golf Club in Copperopolis. She used a 5-iron to ace the 97-yard seventh hole.

Pool planning

Parents of Los Altos High swimmers and water polo players are invited to attend a meeting from 7-7:45 p.m. tomorrow to review plans and discuss fund raising for a new pool. Steve Clark, a 1961 graduate of Los Altos who won three gold medals in relay swimming at the 1964 Olympics, will give a brief presentation. The meeting will be in Room P-13 at Los Altos High, 201 Almond Ave.

Lacrosse anyone?

The Tomahawks Lacrosse Club will hold an information and registration night from 7-9 p.m. Nov. 18 at Jordan Middle School, Room C3, 750 N. California Ave., Palo Alto. Kids in grades 4-12 are eligible to play and experience is not necessary. Practice starts in January. For more information, call 941-5270.

Callaway in PA

Paul Callaway, former director of physical therapy for the PGA Tour and founder of the Body Balance for Performance golf fitness program, will appear at two Palo Alto events Tuesday. From 1-3 p.m. he will be at an open house for golfers at Back to Fitness Physical Therapy, 3906 Middlefield Road. Then from 3-5 p.m., Callaway will speak at a golf seminar benefiting the City of Palo Alto Junior Golf Tournament. For the seminar location and registration information, call 494-0991.

Bike rides for seniors

The Bicycle Outfitter offers free bike rides for seniors at 9:30 a.m. every Thursday. Rides start at the shop, 963 Fremont Ave., Los Altos. Those 60 and older are welcome. For more information, call 948-8092.
