Nov. 2, 1:11 p.m., 400 block of University Avenue: A caller reported that an unwanted man was sleeping in a bedroom at this house. Police made an arrest.

Smoking

Nov. 3, 10:58 a.m., Los Altos High School: A caller reported two students were smoking and asked an officer to respond. Police took a report.

Drunk

Nov. 3, 2;08 a.m., Foothill Expressway/Highway 280: Police arrested four on charges of drunkenness: a 30-year-old woman and three men, 36, 37 and 39.

Assist motorist

Nov. 4, 2:26 p.m., 500 block of West Portola Avenue: A caller reported that a large truck had hit the cable wires in front of his residence.

Drugs

Nov. 4, 9:35 p.m., Portland/Miramonte avenues: Police issued citations to juveniles for misdemeanor marijuana.

Bicycle theft

Thursday, 7:32 p.m.: A bike was reported stolen that day from Los Altos High School.

DUI

Friday, 12:19 a.m., El Monte Avenue/Covington Road: Police arrested a 32-year-old man.

Saturday, 2:33 a.m., Grant/Covington roads: Police arrested a 34-year-old man.

Accident

Friday, 12:23, 700 block of Fremont Avenue: Police reported a roofer fell off a roof.

Possible elder neglect

Friday, 1:25 p.m., 400 block of Los Ninos Way: The fire department reported a possible case of elder neglect regarding an 80-year-old man, who lived alone, with a badly infected foot.

Assault

Sunday, 7:48 a.m.: A caller from the El Camino Hospital emergency room reported a man was there who had been assaulted the night before allegedly at the Los Altos Bar and Grill.

Theft

Sunday, 5:18 p.m., 300 block of First Street: A front license plate and rear tabs were taken from a vehicle.
