Kids Voting Silicon Valley ballot results

printer friendly version Print this story

Students who participated in the Kids Voting Silicon Valley program Nov. 3 voted on the same issues as registered voters. The mock ballots included choices for state governor, U.S. senator, Secretary of State, U.S. representative for their district, and propositions 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10.

Organizers said approximately 100 private schools and 315 public schools from 500 voter precincts in Santa Clara County participated in the voting program this year.

Results from Santa Clara County as well as national results were being calculated at the time the Town Crier went to press, according to a spokeswoman.
