A Nov. 18 article about John Major at the Nov. 13 Celebrity Forum speaker series incorrectly reported Major was a member of the Labor Party ousted by the Tories. It is the exact opposite: Major, a member of the conservative Tories, was ousted by the Labor Party. The Town Crier regrets the error.

Last week's story about local Packard Foundation donations omitted a major contribution: a $230,000 grant awarded March 2 for improvements to the acoustics and storage capacity of the music rehearsal building at Los Altos High School.
