10 to receive volunteerism awards

The 16th annual Los Altos-Los Altos Hills Community Awards luncheon will be held this Friday at the Los Altos Youth Center, 1 N. San Antonio Road.

The community service awards are presented to 10 volunteers whose sole criteria for selection is the value of the volunteer's contribution to the community. The selection honors many years of outstanding service in city government offices or behind the scenes in varied types of volunteerism.

Activities begin at 11:45 a.m., luncheon is served at noon and the award ceremony begins at 12:30 p.m.

Cost is $20 at the door and checks should be made payable to the Volunteer Awards Committee.
