Food barrels will be available at the Los Altos Library through Dec. 22 so that people may donate to those less fortunate in our area. The Mountain View-based Community Services Agency serves low income families, the homeless, the frail and seniors. The Agency needs nonperishable food, especially rice, beans, dry pasta, peanut butter, baby food, evaporated milk and canned meats, fruits and vegetables and new toys. For more information, call 968-0836.

The Friends of the Library will hold its annual gift book sale in the library's program room, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday. These will be used books in quality condition. For more information, call 948-7048.
