Phone offenses

Dec. 1, 9:26 p.m.: A caller reported that her 12-year-old son received a phone call from a man who asked the boy questions and talked about homosexuality.

Extortion

Dec. 2, 9:41 a.m. 5100 block of El Camino Real: A business received a threatening letter from clients. Police called it extortion.

Vandalism

Dec. 2, 5:07 p.m., 1300 block of McKenzie Avenue: Vandalism to a Mercury Sable, front windshield smashed.

Drugs

Dec. 2, 9:19 p.m., 2300 block of Homestead: Police arrested a 19-year-old male on charges of drugs, possession for sale.

Burglary

Friday, 11:44 a.m., 200 block of Almond Avenue: A caller reported a burglary from an auto that had been parked in the Los Altos High School student lot since 7:30 a.m.

Stolen ID

Friday, 3:20 p.m., 300 block of Hawthorne Avenue: A caller reported that someone used the caller's ID and social security number for a pager account in San Francisco.
