Country singer Jesse Lee Levin of Los Altos was featured on radio station KRTY this month with the release of her recording of "American Girl." Jesse, a seventh grader at Egan Intermediate School in Los Altos, said she has been singing since she was a baby. She sang the national anthem before a Giants baseball game last April in front of 11,000 fans.

Los Altos resident Sylvia Bronson, daughter of Richard Bronson and Andrea Solari and Los Altos Hills resident Marissa Yanez, daughter of Luis and Gina Yanez, recently joined the sisters of Alpha Phi sorority at the University of California, Berkeley.
